Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions About the Association

Find answers to key inquiries regarding membership benefits, eligibility, agency involvement, and vendor partnerships.

How do I become a member?

Prospective members can apply online or contact our Bozeman office directly. Membership tiers are tailored for heavy civil contractors, engineering consultants, materials suppliers, and equipment dealers operating throughout Montana and the Rocky Mountain region.

Do you represent individual contractors or firms?

Our primary membership consists of corporate firms and contracting organizations. However, individual licensed professionals, independent consulting engineers, and academic researchers may join through specialized associate memberships.

Can public agencies join?

State, tribal, and local transportation agencies participate as non-voting agency partners. This partnership allows agency engineers and maintenance superintendents to take part in technical working groups, safety roundtables, and research initiatives alongside private contractors.

How can a technology vendor partner with you?

Technology providers offering roadside sensors, dynamic signage, software analytics, or winter operations hardware can join as technology partners. Partners have opportunities to demonstrate systems in field pilots, sponsor technical committees, and present at the Big Sky Road Summit.
